After serpents of the North by Brilcrist After serpents of the North by Brilcrist
Originally pencil sketch, i edited and color it abit with digital.
This is sketch of Thranduil, burned up and half blind after the battle with Serpents of The North.
The one that sitting on his bed is Lord Elrond~

and well, this is not from The Hobbit book canon of courseXD
i draw it based on movie canon when Thranduil showed his scars and told Thorin that he had faced the great serpents of the north~

also, this fic was kinda inspired me on the first place:www.fanfiction.net/s/10038022/…

enjoy:D

Hello,

I'm the author of that fic, and this picture is absolutely amazing. It's exactly how I'd pictured it. It's brilliant :)

I've added details for people to try and find the picture on here within the fic, under Chapter 4, where it the picture most applies. I would have added the link, but ff doesn't like links.

Oh wow.  Fantastic "aftermath" concept. And I love the angle of looking straight down, instead of something more conventional like just over Elrond's shoulder.

There are no words in all the tongues of Middle-earth to describe how much I ADORE this picture...
This was just the thing I needed today to spur on my own writings... -hugs you for the brilliance of it all-

This is so... soft and smooth and so full of sweetness... it's... so sad :'(
I can't help myself but finding this so sad and tragic.
The moment when Thranduil could have been injured by a dragon was never even mentioned by Tolkien but this idea is just... brilliant I have to admit it. (+1 for P. Jackson)
And you represent this with so much feelings, i can feel it through the screen of my computer.
